As a performance strategist, Scott Walkinshaw supports small business owners to manage for sustainable competitive advantage, working with clients to get both the bandwidth and the bench strength they need to achieve strategic results. He brings with him his extensive experience as a business executive working in global companies with multiple divisions, product lines and locations. Scott employs a wide range of leadership tools including coaching, assessments and leadership learning labs, all customized to address the client’s particular needs.
Scott’s philosophy is simple: “Connect to Success!” In order for a business owner and his/her teams to operate at full potential, all of the various parts must seamlessly connect to one another. The company must be connected to its customers, the owner must be connected to the business environment, the employees must be connected to the company mission and work groups must be connected to each other. When “disconnects” occur, the organization’s potential and effectiveness are diminished. Scott works with businesses to overcome common causes of disconnects, communication challenges and ineffective hiring & retention practices, and to create a business and infrastructure that supports and promotes positive, ongoing connections.
Scott holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in marketing as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in finance. He is an International Coach Federation (ICF) certified coach. The ICF is the global membership association of professional coaches with over 8000 members. Scott is trained as a professional coach by Coach University (Coach U), the leading global provider of coach training programs
