Years ago, when telling friends and family about my decision to relocate from New England to Florida, I must have heard it 1000 times…
“Why do you want to move to Florida? It’s too HOT! ESPECIALLY in the summer!”
I still remember worrying if the heat of summer would be too much to take. Was I making the right choice? Would it be too hot??
Ironically, I now find myself excited knowing off-season has arrived and the official start to summer is around the corner. The summer months are a wonderful time to experience all that South Florida has to offer, without waiting in line or searching for a parking space.
It’s the perfect time to enjoy a leisurely meal out on a Saturday afternoon, to explore the Flagler Museum, and to take advantage of the many off-season specials. It is also a wonderful opportunity to support your local small businesses that are affected by the off-season slowdown.
Of course, sometimes it’s nice to just sit and relax in a quiet spot….
Yes, summer has arrived and the temperature is just fine. In fact, LIFE IS GREAT!
