Hello Everyone,

I have recently been exploring the world of Social Media, such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.  I must admit, I’m not naturally drawn to technology nor to online interactions, but I wanted to find out what all the buzz what about.

What I discovered was a wonderful way to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, some as far back as elementary school, and to make new connections. This week, I attended my first Networking TweetUp at Spoto’s Restaurant.  A TweetUp is an event where people who use Twitter to interact online come together to meet in person.  Here is a picture from the event. That’s me on the front right.

It was a great event! Many of the conversations focused on how online communication options are dramatically changing how people interact personally and professionally.  During the TweetUp, attendees exchanged business cards as well as online contact information.  Now we can connect online between in-person events.  All good.

If you haven’t ventured into the world of social media, why not give it a try?  You may be pleasantly surprised by how it can enrich your personal and business life.
